Unlimited prenatal visits. You control how many times we meet to discuss your birth preferences. -

Lending Library of books and videos that you may not find anywhere else. -
Birth Network Support -
I can help you decide what you want and don’t want to happen during your birth and how to prepare for your birth by assisting you and your partner to become informed about the course of your labor and your options and rights. -
I am on-call for you two weeks before and two weeks after your ‘due’ date (because babies have birthdays not due dates.) -
I will use my experience and knowledge to provide you with emotional and physical comfort. I offer help and advice on comfort measures such as breathing, relaxation, movement, and positioning. I know many massage techniques and other tricks that can help in almost any situation to help labor progress naturally. Or if you happen to have an epidural or other medications, I can offer suggestions that might prevent further complications. -
I help you create the environment that you can feel completely comfortable and safe in. We can plan to use aromatherapy, soft lighting, music, crowd control and anything else you want. -
Most importantly I provide you with continuous presence and reassurance during your entire labor and birth. I don’t change shifts. -
After your birth, I will stay with you to assist with initial breastfeeding. This usually takes about two hours.
So what does all this cost?
My all-inclusive, flat rate for the services outlined above is $1000.
When making preparations for your birth, you can offset the cost of having a doula by asking for friends and family to chip in as an early baby shower or mothers blessing gift.
Also, many Flexible Spending Accounts allow you to set aside pre-tax money and use it towards hiring a doula. Please check with yours first because all plans are different.
-
Discounts may apply for my services. Please contact me for details.
$100 off for volunteer firefighters and military veterans. *Active duty may be eligible for Operation Special Delivery.
If you really want a doula at your birth I don’t want money to get in your way so please contact me and we can work together to find a solution.
A $400 deposit is required to put you on my calendar. I accept checks, cash and credit cards through paypal.

Childbirth Education Classes
The childbirth classes that I teach are much different from those taught in the hospital. I teach a balanced variety of information and practical comfort measures.
Private Classes-
I provide private childbirth classes in your home or mine. For private classes I charge sliding scale of $30, $40 or $50 an hour. These classes are personalized to suit your needs and usually take between 6 and 8 hours to complete more or less depending on your individual needs.
Group Classes-

These classes will reduce your fear and anxiety surrounding birth and increase your confidence as you approach parenthood.
In these classes you will learn about pregnancy nutrition, exercise, the process of birth, physical and emotional changes of pregnancy and labor, and practice comfort measures for each stage of labor. You will create a birth plan that suits your individual needs. You will also learn how to get breastfeeding off to a good start and how to sooth your crying baby.
